 UNITY IN DIVERSITY FESTIVAL  September 17, 2016 4 pm - 8 pm


2016 Unity in Diversity Festival -Fun For ALL

The Ridge Coalition for Peace and Justice (RCPJ) and the Paradise Grange are hosting the Unity in Diversity Festival on Saturday, September 17th 4-8 pm at the Paradise Grange, off Pearson Rd. Admission is FREE.

This exciting event includes fun activities for all ages including entertainment, dancing, audience participation with performers and plenty of activities for kids like games, face painting and a bounce house.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, relax, and enjoy great music and entertainment from diverse ethnicity and cultures.

1/18/2016 - MLK Commemoration

Martin Luther King Day Commemoration

The Ridge Coalition for Peace and Justice (RCPJ) invites the community to join in commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose leadership, courage and vision continue to inspire us to unite in working for a more just society. We will celebrate the holiday with an uplifting and thoughtful program of song and speakers. Please join us on Monday, January 19th at the Paradise United Methodist Church located at 6722 Clark Rd. (opposite Paradise Cinema). The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a Candlelight Walk, followed by the Program at 7:00pm. We encourage you to bring a flashlight for the short walk along Clark Road.

 

The program brings together all ages and will include wonderful performances by the Paradise United Methodist Church Choir and the Doin’ It Justice Chorus. We’re also pleased to welcome back students of the Paradise High School Musical Production class, directed by Carolyn Steele and Sandy Miller. The students will captivate the audience with their songs and spoken words.


Guests are invited to gather after the program for fellowship and light refreshments.

JUSTICE FOR ANDREW THOMAS INFORMATION

February 2016: Officer Feaster has been fired and charged in the case. 

There is still a need to keep pressure on officials in order for justice to be served. Please continue to voice your concerns regarding this case by expressing concerns to the media, attending court proceedings, and writing letters to the DA and newspaper editors.

June 2016- In Support of Gun Control

The Ridge Coalition for Peace and Justice stands in solidarity with the LGBTQ community nation-wide as our hearts go out to the victims of violence in Orlando. We urge our political leaders to immediately enact legislation to require background checks on gun sales and ban all assault weapons in our country. Enough is enough!
